Later years

As we age it is normal for our joints to stiffen and degeneration of the joints is a natural part of the ageing process. However, it is not normal to experience pain or limitations in functions that adversely affect daily life. No one can stop the ageing process, however many of the side effects associated with ageing disorders, such as stiffness, aches, and pain can be limited and managed, giving you increased mobility and improved quality of life.

An important part of the process is remaining physically active, this helps your body but also your mind as it has been shown to help and improve mental function. As part of our management plan, we will prescribe specific exercises to help you return to pain free activity, whether it be a game of golf, gardening, or walking.
