HCPC Registered Paediatric Dietitian
Conscious that food is a key part of a growing child’s life, Sitaara understands that this can come with challenges. She is committed to helping children achieve their nutritional goals and grow in a healthy way.
British born Sitaara is a UK HCPC Registered Paediatric Dietitian who completed a Master’s Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics at London Metropolitan University. She has since completed two Paediatric modules through the British Dietetic Association, to further her learning in paediatrics.
Prior to her Master’s Degree, Sitaara completed a Bachelor’s of Science in Human Biology and worked for a large UK nutrition company as well as several large NHS hospitals; working with both in-patients and out-patients.
Sitaara has worked closely with a range of health specialists including paediatricians, nurses, feeding specialists, health visitors, psychologists, speech therapists, physiotherapists, and supported Mother and Baby clinics, together with lactation consultants.
This has given Sitaara expertise in feeding support for infants and toddlers including slow weight gain/faltering growth, feeding difficulties, nutritional deficiencies, single food allergies, constipation and weaning. Her experience also includes working in paediatric diabetes, cardiology, and oncology; working children before, during and after cancer treatment
In her spare time Sitaara enjoys travelling and experiencing new cultures, as well as reading, swimming and trying tasty foods!
